Stylish way to enjoy the quiet of the forest
Twenty-six purist Scandinavian-style holiday chalets are standing on the edge of a conifer forest that is reflected in their large panorama windows. A green clearing in the forest where large boulders sit between white wood anemones starts directly in front of the chalets' wooden decking.
Only a few steps away, a timber jetty leads onto a small lake. The rays of the sun are dancing on its surface. The tranquillity and quiet all around the holiday chalet park "Ferienhaus-Lichtung" make its guests take a deep breath: An aromatic forest fragrance of fir needles, resin and moss lies in the air. However, not only the location but also the standard of the chalets is top of the range: They are kept cosy by underfloor heating; there's a stylish fireplace in each, a wet room style shower with a rainfall shower head (some are even equipped with a sauna), a state-of-the-art kitchen area, a spa lounger and cosy recliner armchairs. The interiors are characterised by calm colours and natural wood and stone elements.

The perfect place for some time off and relaxed outdoor moments, for example on a hike to the Glöckner rock massif, the Gerberstein mountain or the favourite spot of the "hiking writer" Heinrich August Trinius on the Rennsteig. Super in the winter: Simply put on your langlauf skis and get straight onto the loipen network directly in front of the door.

EXPERIENCE TIP
The small town of Ruhla is situated by the Rennsteig, Thuringia's famous hill walking trail. It can also be explored by mountain bike on the Rennsteig cycling route and many other routes – for example from Ruhla to Eisenach and back.
